More Italian Joe

May 25th, 2007, 11:59 am by Gary Grado

Order Sons of Italy in America listed Arpaio as one of the top Italian-American crime fighters in the last century in March 2004 and then yanked the honor a few days later after learning about people dying and getting seriously injured in county jails. Arpaio caused too much controversy for the group, a Sons of Italy representative said back then. Arpaio must have mellowed since then.
