11 tied up in Mesa deli robbery

Mesa police are searching for three men who robbed a Mesa deli Friday afternoon and left 14 people tied up inside with plastic zip ties.The 10 customers and four workers at the Primo Food and Deli, 1931 W. University, told police that each of the three men had handguns as they robbed establishment about 12:58 p.m., tied up the victims and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.The people were tied up for about 15 minutes before a delivery driver discovered them inside the deli, according to Mesa police.The people inside the deli were able to begin cutting themselves free as police arrived.The men who robbed the deli were described as three Hispanic males, 18 to 25 years old and each wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
