It turns out Sheriff Joe Arpaio hasn’t always made Italians proud.(See blog item below). The same group that honored him last week stripped him of a similar honor in 2004. Order Sons of Italy in America listed Arpaio as one of the top Italian-American crime fighters in the last century in March 2004 and then yanked the honor a few days later after learning about people dying and getting seriously injured in county jails. Arpaio caused too much controversy for the group, a Sons of Italy representative said back then. Arpaio must have mellowed since then.

Joe has not mellowed, there are still people dying while in tent city and being seriously injured due to his cruel and inhumane punishments that go unreported to the public!
